Established in 2007, wendy R is the creative outlet of Wendy Ramsey, a speech therapist and entrepreneur who has made it her mission to liven up Lockhart since 1992. A former bed-and-breakfast owner with a passion for community and an eye for style, Wendy devotes much of her ample energy to providing her hometown with a shopping experience that rivals that offered in the eclectic shops and boutiques of much larger cities.

Wendy has the toughest job a woman can ever love: She shops. She digs deep into the top lines of brands you love and trust—from Noodle & Boo hypoallergenic bath and body products to Joseph Joseph kitchen accessories. Wendy selects items that give you bang for your buck. Wendy believes in affordable, functional gifts. (This isn’t your grandma’s knickknack shop!) She also believes in red, white and blue—and green—making it a priority to offer many eco-friendly items made right here in the USA.

From the moment you lay eyes on the wendy R storefront, you know you’re in for a sweet treat. Cheerful, pink-and-white striped topiaries greet you at the front door of the shop, which is nestled in a quaint, turn-of-the-century red-brick building just off the historic town square. Peek inside. What do you see? Colors. Patterns. Ruffles. And lots of hot pink. As wendy R’s signature color, the stuff is everywhere.
